How to Sign up
1) If you work primarily in News and Sports television Sign Up using the yellow button below.
2) Individuals working primarily in Children’s (Live Action and Animation), Daytime, Documentary or design and develop television Technology, you may be eligible for Dual membership of the Television Academy and NATAS. Sign up HERE
3) If you are a current Television Academy member and work primarly in Children’s (Live Action and Animation), Daytime, Documentary or Technology, and you wish to become a Dual member of the TVA and NATAS, please reach out to the TVA membership team. They will review your qualifications and advise. Contact information HERE.
4) If you primarily work in Regional television, please refer to the Chapter Directory at https://theemmys.tv/chapters/ to sign up or renew your regional membership.

Why Join NATAS?
NATAS National Membership has been created for individuals actively engaged in the production or distribution of programming for national exhibition and for those who desire to connect with other industry professionals. It spans seven distinct television peer genres (Children’s Animation, Children’s Live Action, Daytime, Documentary, News, Sports and Technology & Engineering) and represents all fields of expertise both in front of and behind the camera, including producers, writers, directors, performers, on-air talent and their associated crafts.

National Professional Members have the opportunity to judge the work of their peers in National Emmy® Awards contests.

Members are invited to attend informative seminars and special events covering a wide spectrum of topics where they can learn and contribute. Seminars may feature Emmy® Award recipients and industry experts.
Mentorship
Support by giving back! NATAS conducts seminars, events and programs like the National Student Production Awards where you can bring your expertise to judge entries, or serve as a mentor. The National Student Production Awards promote excellence by showcasing work created by high school students in news, craft and programming categories. Members may be eligible to receive discounts for ceremony tickets and awards for a NATAS National Emmy® competition.

How to Become a Member
You do not need an invitation to be
part of NATAS. If you work in television, register online here.
Membership Types and Fees
Professional
Employment in the production or distribution of nationally exhibited programming for a minimum of two (2) years within the last four (4) years. Individuals who have received a Children’s and Family, Daytime, News & Documentary or Sports Emmy nomination are also eligible for Professional membership. $225
Associate
Extended to any person who is working in a position which would normally qualify for Professional membership, but who has not yet compiled sufficient time. $150
Supporting
Corporations and other institutions sponsoring memberships of their employees.
Student
To be determined.
Regional
Individuals working solely in programming intended for a regional audience.
New applications are subject to a one-time nonrefundable processing fee of $50.
Fees are payable by Credit Card and ACH.
Please note: $10 of every Membership fee will be donated to the NATAS Scholarship Fund!
